How To Drive Safe with Ford

How To Drive Safe with Ford

“Drive Safe!” We hear this all the time.. But do we actually listen? Do we really practice safe driving? I think many of us don’t.

Sometimes we think, “Oh it’s a stoplight.. or “we’re crawling- maybe i can answer this text”- but actually these few seconds are the most crucial of times. It only takes a second -and damage is done!

To be honest, it’s actually the only time it happened to me. I bumped another vehicle just because I checked on my phone! So I am speaking from experience.. It was so irresponsible of me. Thank goodness my kids were not in the car when this happened.

All the more if they were, I would not even dare touch my phone, because safety should always be my concern! Think of it this way, their life is in our hands. Driving should never be taken lightly.

As a mom, we always choose what is best for our family..even when it comes to picking out the right vehicle.

I’ve always believed that Ford is, and continues to be excellent when it comes to their quality and most especially their safety standards. Even my husband can attest to it, Ford has always been my choice especially when we started a family of our own.

We recently got to own and experience the new Ford Everest Titanium. Let me just share some of its most appealing safety features.

It has a SYNC2 feature, which is a voice activated control system which allows you to keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel while taking an important call.

It is also equipped with a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) that works as a set of eyes when changing lanes. The sensors alert you by sending out indicator lights in your side mirrors. This way, you’ll know if there’s a vehicle even if you don’t see them on your mirror.

Third, it has an Adaptive Cruise Control & Collision Warning system. Two things- The Cruise control allows the car to maintain a steady and constant speed. This feature is useful especially on the highway where there are speed limits and continuous traffic. It also allows you to set a peferred distance to the vehicle in front of you. Once it detects a slowing down, it decelerates automatically matching the speed of the vehicle infront of you.

Last but not the least, and my favorite feature actually- it’s got an 800mm water wading capacity! You know how stressed I get when the rain and floods come! I experienced having to drive through a waist deep road without floating like the rest of the vehicles next to me- and the best part. No damage!!! One of the other reasons why I trust my Ford like no other. True story!

I really could go on and on. But if there’s one thing to remember – a vehicle can only protect you up to a certain degree. Driving safe is what really matters! Buckle Up and Park your Phone. xx

    Hi Mika,

Appreciate your post and an eye-opener for me.

Everytime am on the road, I always tell myself that the road is for everyone thus we should practice road safety since it’s our responsibility not just for ourselves but for others who are on the road – It may be another driver, a commuter, traffic enforcer, young ones etc.

Truly it’s right to say to park your phone right before you start driving.

    PS
I read the caption on your IG post thrice coz am thinking: Was it a typo (referring to park your phone) or was it me who didn’t get it and after 3 reading..ta daaa my brain cells are finally on its places haha
