Life in the Quarter Years

October 18, 2015 by mikaelamartinez 12 Comments

About 4 years ago, my good friend Bianca Gonzalez asked me to share my story on MEG magazine..It’s something I never really wrote or talked about publicly…the little details..like getting pregnant at 18, mean girls, finishing my last year in college while juggling the life of motherhood, marriage…That, and everything else. I know it’s not my usual blog entry…But this is something that might help young girls out there who may be going through the same thing. There’s always hope and a purpose for everything.

Keep your head up!

So glad I read this! I’m a young mom myself and don’t know what to do with my life now that I’ve married young and currently staying at home taking care of my son. It’s an everyday struggle to be strong and not to envy other people who are living the dream at my age, so thank you cos this really helped me to think positive. God bless πŸ™‚

I super love this entry! as a young mom, i can relate to the struggles and of course, the rewards of having a child earlier than expected. But hey, we have so much time for ourselves now and for our own family. Cheers Mikaela! πŸ™‚

Great post here mikaelamartinez. I usually see you on magazines back home, been your fan, and I saw pictures that we got married. Now at least I know a little bit more about you. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this Ms Mikaela. I can relate to your life experiences and as it is very similar to mine. I too had my firt born at an early age. Im a full time mommy to 4 kids now and the envy is definitely there when i see my batchmates successful in their carreers, own a home and just looks so well off. It makes me feel a little lost but i like what you said on the last sentence of your article. Im gonna stop looking at what I dont have and just focus on my “now” which are my children. Thank you Miss Mikaela. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.

I love this article. I got started with your birthday post in IG. You’re inspirational! As a new mom, I feel tired most of the time. But learning from your perspective, I feel like I have to change mine to a positive one. Thank you! Hope you enjoy your birthday with your family πŸ™‚
